5th RAVY 2016
The 5th edition is scheduled for July 2016. The challenge for Ravy 2016 is to bring something new that can go beyond our past achievements. With this we have plans to further highlight performance art as it is a powerful medium that can engage social or political practises. Besides this Ravy will also give attention to the visual arts disciplines. As a biennale that facilitates international artists exchange - we have experienced in previous editions many conflicts between the local and the western art discourse. The main challenge being in the difficulty for local audiences to welcome unfamiliar western forms of expression. As a result, Ravy 2016 will explore possible opportunities for dialogue through performance and visual arts between western views and local views. The purpose is to try to find the point of conflicts related to both contextual realities, and the difficult transposition of endogenous habits.
